W26R Outing!

Today was the start of another hectic day. Besides clearing emails, I had to read up on my FYP notes and hope to gather more information before I can let Jerry know. If not, I'll be dead. Went out with Hadi to meet his friends and brought them to RP for a visit.

W26R had an outing today to Swensens! Hadi brought his 'kids' or rather the class he took for PBL Orientation on 11th April 2006. He definitely had fun and this class is pretty interesting! I enjoyed having ice cream with them and helped them take loads of pictures. We went to the arcade and played for a while.

Hadi and I left earlier as we had lots of admin matters to settle. We happened to see David on the way out from RP and managed to clear the air for the plans for Pre-SLA Fair. Anyway, I really hope to finish the Cypher Camp and enjoy myself as I embark on the next few SA events.

Photos will be uploaded soon and I guess for now, I really need good rest and select SA photos tomorrow. Resting in His love. I ask of the Lord to give me rest, comfort and peace.

Happy Birthday, Mum!

Today is Mum's birthday! I was really busy today and the lab session was really a killer. There were only two of us in the team and I guess it worked well! Anyway, had a long meeting on Monday for SLA Fair and SA Selection Camp. In the end, took a cab from RP to Tampines!

At Tampines, I celebrated my mum's birthday with my sister and her bf. We had Fish & Co and I ate my favourite Swordfish Collar! It was a simple meal and nothing much though. Just feel great having dinner as a family even I'm busy for this week.

Most importantly, thanks to my mum for being such a great mum and looking after us.

Happy Birthday, Mum!

1st Day of School! RP Woodlands Campus!

It was a fun day today at RP Woodlands Campus! It's 1st day of school and it's Tricia's birthday! Happy Birthday, Tricia [berries]! I woke up at 5am and had QT and went to prepare for school. It was hectic and it was terrible. Left home by 6:30am and took 65, 58, followed by 168! It was really packed!

Reached Woodlands Interchange around 7:10am and waited for Hadi till 7:30am. Took 902 to school. How privileged are we? 902 flashes..... REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC..... it's like our very own bus!! Was at W3, waiting outside at the lab while waited very long, went back to the original class which is E36N. During 2nd meeting, we went to our lab at W3.03.34 and did our work there for the whole day. That lab will be my permanent home!

Knowing new friends was awesome! My teammates are foreign to me! They actually knew that I'm quite active in Cypher Club. I'm in awe of it. Anyway, they are a nice bunch and I hope we can share our learning experiences along the way.

Be it the tough journey to school, I hope I can endure for the next 10 months. Let it be a nice journey to the finishing line.

Be Blessed!

Life or Death??

Life is really fragile. In a split second, all is stripped away. Death is torturing but can be joyous too. What is truly life? I've endangered my family's lives today. How? I met into a car accident. Something I never expect which happened to me on this very day. Did I pray before I set out? No.

This incident had caused me to think about my life and my surroundings. Dad didn't scold me but he just loved me the way I am. I guess I felt the Father's love but I'm just upset with myself. I'm sure I wanted to avoid that road very much. But in the end, I still choose that path and maybe it was my imagination. Maybe it was a still small voice. But whichever the case is, I'm involved in this accident. That hurt my heart deep within. I guess I'll not be driving till November or maybe wait till I recover from this phobia.

I'm physically fine, my mum and aunt are fine too. I've just caused a big shock within them. They still love me very much. I feel very guilty. Dad's pocket is burnt for my big mistake. All he said was as long as you all are alright. God, the Father, seems to be showing His love on me too. But I just don't know how to respond.

Hope that my licence will not be revoked and it's truly a big lesson learnt. Where would I go if I die? I'm sure I've my fears and I wasn't certain when I was out of the car thinking about this issue. Death is a killer. Jesus died for all our sins.

I wonder is this accident a chance for me to preach the good news? Or is it not?

PBL Orientation 2006

Today, RP had their PBL Orientation Programme and I was the OIC, in charge of the SAs. Too bad, Fel and Ken were sick and unable to attend. All of us enjoyed the PBL session. I was assigned to W26H [You Rox!] and the facilitator in charge is John Young!! He made my job even more easier!

Melissa + Jacqueline + Saket

Team, let's discuss! PBL in action!

In the beginning, the class was a bit quiet but by the end of the whole programme, I've made valuable friends! Saket, Jacqueline, Melissa and Windy were the so-called 4 vocalized students I've picked out to exclude them from the last activity. Brought them around to take a look at the library and some other blocks.

Kenny + Jacqueline + Melissa + Windy + Saket

It's us again! Saket seems so shy!! Oops!

Of course, I've made more friends than that. Jessica, Fiona, Dawn (from another class), Joe and many others! Hope to know their names when I visit them. Anyway, W1 and W2 seems to be occupied by the year 1s. This is really bad. It simply means that I have to walk further. I hope my block would be E3 then.

We had lunch at Causeway Point Food Court and we had loads of fun with the Neoprints, Arcade and Movies! We watched Ice Age 2! It was really fun with Jacqueline, Melissa and Jessica! I believe our friendship will flourish and hope to see Saket soon! He's an interesting guy to chat with!

Hope you all enjoyed my presence!

Be Blessed!

Successful Computing 2006

It's RP Successful Computing 2006! This time round, I'm not facilitating the class. I guess it's hard to teach with my lousy sore throat. Campus is still as dusty and it seems tough to get around as the place looks the same totally.

Gui Xiang and I were the official photographers of the day and we had loads of fun. I'm sure he will agree with me as we "hijacked" almost every class and took photos of those in action! I'll try to post some photos here to show my works and his works.

Meanwhile, I'll have to get some rest as tomorrow is PBL Orientation and I'm the OIC for the event under the SAs. I'm sure tomorrow will be fun and it's time to rest. Waking up at 5am. Practicing for new semester!

*Pray for my persistant cough to go away!

Fever + Rest!!

Wow! I don't know whether is this timely or what?? I caught a fever of 37.9 degrees yesterday after going for movies, window shopping at Funan and Davis guitar shop. Everything just fall into place. Didn't get to lead worship today at cell. Maybe it's a good thing. God has His plans and it's time to rest..... means it's time to rest!!

I had the privilege to rest, perspire and cover myself in thick blanket!! My brain was 'dead' for the day and was thinking about stuff throughout the day. Anyway, I'm recovering and sort of thinking about my life throughout my rest. Life's been interesting. Really feel privileged to be able to work with Bey on the Youth Guitar Worship Workshop which is starting in May. Kinda excited since I've been teaching guitar in church last year but this time, it would be different from the previous times.

Fever reminds me of Fever '04 when I went to Cambodia with the 15 of them and since then, my life has been changing and trying to accept things around me and be less critical. But at times, I'm just as critical as many of them would. Rest is what I need for now. Many events are coming up and if I don't rest, I'll not have a chance to.....

I'm looking at the Takamine TK-40, CTP-1 Cool Tube and the DSP Preamp after I visited Davis yesterday. TK-40 is a minor upgrade from my current one with digital tuner in-built which costs S$150, Cool Tube is a slightly major upgrade with tuner and its warm sound through the tube which costs S$260 and finally, the DSP is a major upgrade with tuner which costs S$350.

Was thinking to save more money and the TK-40 meets my needs more than the others since I don't usually use the other functions very often. Still deciding and hopefully, John has lobangs since he look out for all these so often.

Okay, time to rest if not..... someone will sure nag at me..... Remember, at times when you really need rest, you must rest! If not, you'll be like me, lying on the bed with fever to remind yourself about rest.

Be Blessed!

Summary of Events!

Met up with Josh & Kevin at Brekos for Lunch today. Waited for the food for almost 30 mins and spent an hour plus chatting about ministry, music, etc. Kinda interesting to start the day relaxing at such a nice comforting place.

Sound check at 1:45pm..... Waiting for Bey to pick Kevin, Josh and me up at Holland Village. Guess that we're late for Sound Check!! Oops..... had a good sound check, went to Cafe Galilee for high-tea. LOL. Went for Pre-Service Prayer at room 306 and before it starts, met Wen Hao and share with him some tricks on guitar. Think he must have a hard time learning. That was the same for me in the beginning. The prayer meeting was awesome. I was sharing about our failure to see our securities, life, etc. Fear Him and He will give life, security and protection from harm. Many things came upon me and I was praying for a burden exchange.

Service was awesome and God really speaks into our heart. I felt great and had dinner with the cell, Alex and Peiwen. Alex is cool coz he always ask me to send songs to him. Peiwen's prayers in chinese is awesome lor!! She can pray in chinese faster than I pray in English. At the hawker while getting food, everyone was looking at Alex and shake his hand, greet him and talk to him. So funny lor..... I was thinking whether is there only one Kenny in COOS? Oops, maybe in youth service..... Pastor Bee introduced Alex during the service and said it's Kenny's friend. LOL. Let me find more Kennys to church since there are a lot of Johns already.

Gab was having fun at PS and I was having fun at church. Anyway, gotta call a bunch of campers tomorrow to update them of the NEW camp date! Praise the Lord for the finance, church camp date, semester grades, SA Selection Camp dates and all the other events that I'm currently handling. Hope to get more rest before school starts!

Be Blessed!

Happy April Fool's Day!

I was about to leave the cell, the church, the people, everything. Life was without purpose, visions and dreams. Everyone seemed distant to me than usual. Searching for something to live for. Someone to treasure.

Life's a misery, isn't it? Where's the end? The journey is on and we are on a journey of fighting for our lives, working on our salvation. Where's the call?

Anyway, all these aside as I won't be leaving cell, church, people or anything that God has called me to serve.

Happy April Fool's Day!

Be Blessed!
