Reservist: In Camp Training (ICT)

It's been 5 days since I last stepped home. Though the ICT is supposed to be 13 days, it will effectively be 10 days. Best of all, this "high-key" ICT isn't that stressful. I simply rested all the way. In fact, most of us slept through 80% of the time due to the usual poor planning which is good and bad. Good - can slack. Bad - time passes too slow.

Stayed at Nee Soon camp and everyday, we have to move out from Nee Soon to Sungei Gedong camp. That's the main training area and home of my unit. Currently, they are constructing new buildings and soon I'll be going there for the next ICT to come. For Nee Soon camp, we need to flash this nice ICT card (better than Armour Camp's card) and the place is nice to stay. But I'm not used to the bed. Tonight, I'm having my luxurious bed to sleep on!

Nee Soon camp ICT pass.

I'll finish ICT next Friday. Just in time for Y.E.S 3! Will be praying for people to come, pray during service and loads of activities coming up. And yes, I'll be job hunting till I get a permanent job. It's hard to find but I'll succeed. God is good, all the time.

Caught up with my reading. Now halfway through the book, "Mentoring". Next will be Experiencing God, etc. And the laggy book..... which I was supposed to finish it long ago, God Songs. 5 more "working days" to go @ Nee Soon camp before out processing!

Children Ministry Music Workshop

On Wednesday (13th) and Thursday (14th), some of the musicians from Adults, Youth and Children ministry collectively conducted the workshop and it's a success! Through the workshop, I've learned more than I teach. In fact, this started out in my dream and then Pastor Jenn asked some of us to help out.

1, 2, 3, 4! Rock the House!

We can show the adults - We can do it!

Wanna know what instrument is that?
*Will post up a video shortly*

One of the groups.

That's Seth for you.

Gerald

Auntie Serena sharing about worship

The Future Warriors!

It's really a joy to serve the kids. In fact, Gerald and I were supporting Auntie Serena in vocals and Gerald said it was his first time in a way. LOL! For me, it was really a challenge too. As we shared all that we could, we really feel blessed by the kids, each and everyone of them. What really draws me to them would be their childlikeness.

Don't worry! I'm ready!

Wait! Wait! I'm preparing!

Preparing for Practice!

Kenny with the guitarists

Uncle Steven with the guitarists

The most surprising thing is the love gift I received. I believe each of us received it too. It's really amazing. Shall not spoil any markets here. Anyway, all the glory goes to Jesus. He made it happen and best of all, we have them worshiping and leading us into worship.

Get Ready!

I'm all ready! Don't worry, I'm not stoning!

Uncle Steven said..... worship like a blind man!

Good Job, Children of God!

Auntie Belinda in action!

It will come to pass! =) Thanks Pastor Jenn for giving us this opportunity to learn and to facilitate. We sure had fun! =)

Future

As I was reading my books today, I just sense "Future". I don't know what it means? I'm very free these days till after reservist and catching up my books and personal life with God. It's not easy. But I guess He knows and He understands.

Looking at that path again, I see myself walking on that path, looking at the end of the path. I see Jesus at end of the path. Each step I take seems very significant in my life. It's like risk-taking but the TRUST question always pop up. "Do you trust ME?"

Each step I took in faith, I step into future. Now, what's next? Only God knows. He holds the keys to my future and I'll learn to put my trust in Him. Future is Jesus. He's the only answer to my future. I'm still seeking Him about future. And I hope I'll have the answer to my situations.

Decisions - Life, Relationships & More

Yesterday, late at night, I had to make a difficult choice of declining the offer for studying in Universities. I was only offered SMU as I didn't choose the other two due to location and other reasons, therefore I didn't apply NUS and NTU.

When I first applied SMU, I really wanted to study. But somehow, I just didn't feel peaceful about it and started to look for a job. Currently, I'm still working at WPS and will be thinking of converting to full time. Just a few mins ago, I received a call from ITE. Yeah, the job is teaching support in IT Security and probably will join them once vacancies are opening up early or late next year. For now, I'll work for my boss as promised.

Time passes and Rach (littlelamb) is on her 3rd week in U.S. Clearly, we are not hiding anything from anyone and yes, we are still best of friends, best buddies and many of our friends and mentors are supporting us as individuals geared to the purposes of God. In terms of relationship, it'll not be rushed and thanks for concerning about this. I'm thankful that God really ministered to Rachel and myself, leading us as individuals to grow in Him and through Him, we'll work together for the purposes of the Audience of ONE.

While all these things and challenges are flooding in our lives, I've let it go and let God do what He wants. Making a decision is tough. Especially, for the SMU or Work challenge. Definitely, I'll also decline DSTA's offer as Associate Engineer. Probably stay as an Assistant IT Engineer at WPS till I can work in ITE. Probably, need to work on my habitudes, attitudes, character and my skills.

As I make more decisions in time to come, I'll leave it to God and allow Him to be my advisor in decision making. I pray that I'll be wiser each time I face my challenges.

Be Blessed!

Habitudes & Obedient Faith

Habitudes was awesome! Felt tired but went for it and was refreshed during worship time. The beginning was fun and simply easy to identify as we go through each habitude as mentioned. For me, even though I left slightly earlier, I learned about 3 topics namely, the Iceberg, the Starving Baker and the Thermostat & Thermometer.

Kinda forgot what Jenn asked us to do. LOL! Supposed to do 2 or 3 things. Vaguely remembered about writing what we've learned today, what are we going to do about it (actions) and be accountable to someone. Hope this is the correct questions and tasks. I kinda understand the thermostat theory after being put on stage for prayer today. God is there during the service.

Before PSP, I was praying for service and what to pray, what to do when praying. I got a reply and simply to hold each other, forming a chain to signify unity. I thought it was crazy! At PSP, I questioned God and I ask, if I wanna ask the congregation to do it, then the Music Ministry should do it first before anyone since we are on stage. Bey happened to lead us and asked us to hold hands forming the circle. Praise God for confirming. Best of all, Sister Elaine also felt the same thing and it truly affirmed me and encouraged me a lot.

When Pastor Jenn shared about Obedient Faith, I realized that what I did was simply obey. Yes, it's not easy but submitting to God in total surrender, just for the prayer alone, was a leap of faith for me. I hope that I can listen as clearly each time I ask God a question or when I'm challenged.

Praise God for everything today. Bought two books from the conference and will be reading it and sharing it once I get started. Currently reading Experiencing God, God Songs (which should be finished last year), Master Plan of Evangelism and Boy Meets Girl. Soon, I'll read Mentoring and Habitudes (#1 - The Art of Self-Leadership) by Tim Elmore. It's gonna be fun.

It's rising up all around. Faith is rising.
