Wishlist Fulfilling!

WoW!! In another 29 days, I'll be 24 years old!! That's like a comet crashing into the earth. Erm, doubt it's that crazy. Anyway, I just got back with the Samsung SGH-S410I Silver i-mode phone!! It's so cool till I feel like getting rid of my bulky PDA Phone. As my birthday draws near, I'm planning for a gathering at my place on 20th November, for a celebration and for the best birthday ever!

If you all didn't know, my 21st birthday was slightly dull but thank God for my good buddy, Ee-lyn, who faithfully remembered me and celebrated with me that year. It was fruitful. Anyway, waiting for my specs to arrive and that goes my new outlook. LOL. Clearing my wishlist as I've decided to get the Canon IXUS 750 before my birthday, hopefully during the first week of November. Was shopping with Jason and guess what?? We saw the iPod Video!! So cool lah!! I was comtemplating on which to get but at the end of the day, I would prefer the iPod Video over the Nano as it's value for money with better functionalities. I guess this is the only year which my wishlist is almost fulfilled and blessed with lots of stuff.

Recalling the instances of my blessings, from the guitar, to my results, scholarship, involvement in ministries and others, made me feel that God is really a great God. He blessed me with my desires after all the tough work.

Supposedly a surprise, my dad revealed that I'll be getting a crumpler bag which my sister had planned to get it. Oops, dad, you spoilt the plan. Anyway, I'm happy that my sister always plan all these. Thanks, I really appreciate it. Really been blessed and I'm satisfied with what I have. This is all I need in terms of material needs.

But all in all, I ask that the Lord to overflow me with Your Spirit and Your thoughts. Lord, empower me and anoint me with Your oil. All I have is Yours. May I bless others through the blessings You've given me. My talents, my gifts and my abilities.

To all, I hope I've been a blessing to all!

Be Blessed!

Words can KILL!!

Everything was fine till someone told me off. That was when I realized that I should be tactful at all times. Words which we use everyday, every moment of our lives, unfortunately, can be destructive. A friend of mine told me off early this morning and I'm sorry about the remarks I've made. I was an insult to my friend and I conveniently treated it as a joke.

This reminds me of my life once again. My walk with God, my selfish ambitions, my self-centred being which caused me to disregard what I say or do. In life, we tend to make mistakes. Sometimes, I feel that these mistakes can be avoided. Nevertheless, we should constantly be conscious of what we say or do. All I can do now is to apologize and ask for forgiveness from my friend. Anyway, I hope I'll never let loose of my tongue again.

Thoughts that are running through my mind.....

Seeking forgiveness!

Be Blessed.

Everyday, it's You I live for!

After Tuesday's music practice, I was sort of thinking about the days to come for this week. Somehow, I've cleared my thoughts and sort out my needs in life. In fact, on Thursday, at cell, I was unable to worship God at first before the worship started. I was leading that day. As I was praying, the Lord impressed on me and convicted me through the process.

We shared without pressure on that Thursday and I felt much more relieved. In any case, this week seems more hectic than the previous one. On Friday, I played the guitar for Evie as she led worship for the youth baptism class. It was a time of refreshing and after that, Peter and I went out for a drink and I was again convicted for some issues in my life.

Focus!!

I was glad that Peter shared with me that I'm a person that has the passion (fuel) to do a lot of things and serve in the ministries. But he added that I lack Focus. I was passion driven more than focus driven. As I was thinking through this, I agreed with him and I continued to share with him about my relationship matters, etc. We ended up talking about someone whom I'm quite close to. But that's not the important thing right now. It was that Friday which changed my perspective about cell, etc. I'm still seeking God for an answer and to direct me to become focus driven with the balance of passion driven life.

Just yesterday, had fun with my Sec 1 youths at East Coast Park. We cycled, bladed, enjoyed the whole afternoon at the park with a wonderful weather provided by our loving Father. Thank God for the beautiful, cool and sunny day!! Had a Lychee feast though. haha. LOL. Anyway, we took quite a fair bit of pics and thanks all for being so sporting and loving!! Will post up the pics soon??

Finally, at the youth service, Pastor Glenn preached about BGR and Love. I'm sure a lot of us are convicted and touched by the message preached. I was really inspired. Though I've reached the eligible age, but guess it's right to wait for God's timing and planning to be pure for my future partner.

Gonna sleep soon. End off here and start my reports in the next few hours' time.

Be Blessed!

President Nathan's Visit & Steamboat!!

It was a rushing, crashing and troubled day for me today as my team was incomplete without Cedric!! I hope he sees this. Anyway, today is the first time, our dear President Nathan is visiting RP!! How privileged can we be to be part of the crowd but yet not able to get hold of him for long??

We ended class at 3pm just for the arrival of the President. Wondering when will we ever do that when Christ comes again?? Anyway, we had taken some pics before the President arrived. Will post them as soon as possible.

After the President's visit, we had a meeting with the SAs for the Orphanage visit proposal. Then Jason, Aizhen and I went out for a big feast!! We went for Steamboat!! Let me tell you that we were really blessed!! It was a treat from me and it's S$10 per person. After that, for no reason [maybe God's blessing], we found a S$10 note on the floor. The passer-by just tell us that our money is on the floor. We didn't know what to do since no one collected it. So we decided to take it for our drinks and I didn't intend to treat Jason at first. Looks like it's a blessing after all??

Let's look at the pics of our great Steamboat dinner!!

Food!! We're very very hungry!! Posted by Picasa

We really enjoyed ourselves and went to Suntec for a short walk to help us digest our food. Then we took bus home. It was a long trip for Aizhen and me. We took bus service 14 and took 1 hour to reach Aizhen's place. Anyway, I'm sure we enjoyed the day and ended off with a great relaxation mode.

Thanks for the fun today, Aizhen and Jason!!

Faith to Finish!

It's been a few days since I last blogged. Didn't know what to blog even though there were a series of events passing by my school days. It was great as my team members were usually Cedric, Alan, Jane & Evieon. At least not so bored, Music Appreciation class was happening. Thursday cell at PC's place was really a start of refreshing moment. Yesterday's sermon was really timely.

Entitled "Faith to Finish!" by Pastor Benny Ho.

Luke 17:3 - 10

Side points to take and learn. Instead of asking for increasing of faith, ask for the increasing of faithfulness. We already have that faith since it is written, "Faith as small as a mustard seed, can move mountains", and how small is a mustard seed? I'm sure our faith exceeds that.

Faithfulness is our response to our faith. It's what we do with our faith.
Faithfulness is being loyal and obedient to the person we put our trust in.

Faith grows as we finish what God wants us to do!

Ecclesiastes 7:8
- Patience helps us to finish
- Patience is better than pride

2 things to note:
- "Go..."
- "... show
yourselves to the priests."

Keep our eyes on Jesus
- He is the author and finisher of our faith.

Genesis 12 - 15 [3 Specific Things]
1) A Compromise in his spirit
2) A Conflict in his emotion
3) A Confrontation in the physical

Faith is believing what we can't see. It's never easy and it really takes the courage to take that step. As I was walking down the aisle, I felt like running back to God. I went for the altar call yesterday and realised how much I have missed His goodness and greatness. There were many aspects I could have improved or had that faithfulness to complete but didn't. There were times where God showed me the many dreams, visions and hopes I could depend on but never did I ask Him the approach to take.

As I was kneeling at the feet of His throne, I wondered again..... What's my purpose in COOS, RP, Family and other aspects of my life?? The prayers were really speaking into my contrite heart as I worshipped God at His feet. Amazingly, during worship time, Pastor Glenn mentioned about Raising the Praise. God spoke to me at one of the music practice sessions about two words - Raise & Praise. Note that Praise has the word Raise in it.

Oh yeah, Thanks to Cheryl for coming up to me and asking if I'm alright. Really appreciate your kindness. Thanks for being an encourager and commenting on my blog all the time.

His presence was overwhelming in the auditorium till I can't fathom. Nothing can beat His love, His presence and His everything. I wanna know Him more & more.

Putting my trust in Him for this semester, year, life!!

Awaiting for my scholarship now. Wondering what should I really do about it??
Thinking of that iPod Nano now..... Ian, why did you buy?? *sigh*
If I really need it then say. Haha. LOL.

Birthday's coming in a month plus time. Hopefully, I can fulfill my wishlist this year.

Serving our Saviour,
Kenny Ong

TN0406 + TA0304

Yoz!! After three days of PBL experience again..... I'm really tired. Need to charge up the energy for tomorrow's programming. TN0406 is my new class for all my IT modules. TA0304 is my Music Appreciation class.

Networking class (Monday) was fun as we have Cedric, Alan, Jane and me. We were crimping cables and configuring the network itself. It is slightly tedious when it comes to cabling. But thank God that I had prior knowledge. Really praise Him. Had System Analysis & Design (Tuesday) was slightly boring but got Cedric (again?!) and Ryan and myself, we managed to handle the situation quite well. TN0406 is a bit the quiet at this point. How long will I need to get rid of silence??

Music Appreciation class was fun today. I bet this is the most happening module in my 5 day module week. TA0304, as Fauzo and I stepped into the empty class today at around 8:15am, we thought that it would be just a few of us. Soon, almost everyone came in and get to know each other. It's kinda cool to know new friends, joke together, like we known each other for months!! TA0304, you ROX!!

Nothing else to update now but to really get some rest after 3 long days of work, using my brain cells. Ate pasta for dinner [combination of lunch + dinner]. Better not spoil my stomach!!

Anyway, gotta run!

Be Blessed!!

Worship Seminar + First day of School!!

Finally, it's less than 8 hours before I reach school and start the new term with a new class!! TN0406 & TA0304, here I come!! The worship seminar held last Saturday was awesome.

I shall briefly talk about it now and post a little insight and get some sleep.

The most amazing thing is that I met Martin Boey, someone I really wanted to meet after all these years. It must be God's divine appointment. Other than that, I really enjoyed the seminar, sound check & especially our pre-service prayer at room 306. It was awesome as we shared our prayer needs and testimonies! God is indeed in our lives.

I'm excited as I blog and gonna get some sleep.

See you all in school later!

Be Blessed!
