Today, many of us sent Rachel off at the airport. If I can remember correctly, this is the first time in her life that she's going on a trip alone in a way or another. I remember that some time back, she didn't have many friends somehow and was quiet. After she checked in and went through the gates, she sent me a sms saying that everything seems so surreal.
She really appreciate everyone's presence. I really appreciate it too. In fact, if the whole gang wasn't around, either one of us might just cry. LOL! For the past 2 weeks, we've been spending time together getting her stuff, preparing for this day. Finally, she's on the way to her experience and journey for 2.5 months. Recalling the times that she said that she didn't want to go for this trip coz she knew more people from COOS now and simply wanna stay here but this trip was arranged before knowing any of us in the start of this year.
In a way, I'm glad that she's away. It's simply a trial for us to endure and pray for each other's safety each day. Looking at her now, she's simply the blur girl I've always known. Always forget this, forget that. But as we help each other out, things always look better. With Jesus in this friendship, we simply find joy and simply love each other's company.
Rachel went with a cheerful, joyful and excited heart as she went in with her friend. Truly, I hope she will take a break from the busy Singapore to the new, unknown place which she will enjoy for this moment of time. It's going to be really exciting. Even for me, I'm going for ICT next month and she won't be able to catch me for a while too, at least 13 days.
Thanks to all of the people who came and send Rachel off. It's really a blessing to see so many people, encouraging her and letting her feel so loved.
Be Blessed!
