To take or not to take??

I'm offered the exemption for one of the modules after applying it online. Wondering if I should try attempting it or not?? It'll be good if I'm confident enough and can get an 'A' for it.

Dear Jun Hao,

We are glad to inform you that you have satisfied our criteria to take an exemption test for the module C121 Data Communication & Networking.

Please note the following details of the module exemption test.

Date: 26 Sept (Mon)
Time: 10am – 12pm
Classroom: TS05-10

Format: MCQs + fill in the blank questions + essay questions

Test fee: A non-refundable fee of S$50 will be charged for the test, regardless of the outcome of the test. Please pay by NETS at One Stop Centre by 23 Sept 05 (Fri) 5 pm. If payment is not received by then, it would be assumed that you have given up the test.

Please be punctual and bring along your pen & a calculator.

Test results will be made known to you by RP email on 28 Sept 05. Thank you.

In general, this is what will happen.

Students who score a grade ‘C’ or better will be deemed to have passed the assessment and allowed to be exempted from the module. The assessment grade will then be reflected on the result slip and transcript, and contribute towards the GPA in place of the module grade.

If you are not satisfied with the assessment grade attained, you can opt to study the module in full, instead. Students will only be allowed a single attempt at taking the exemption assessment for each module.

The following grading scheme shall apply:

Now, I'm in a dilemma whether to attempt or not. If I get an 'A', I'll have more time for my other modules and activities. I do have some confidence to get at least a 'B' or 'B+'. I only have 4 days to study in that case. Can someone advise me on this??

Be Blessed. [Feeling stressed]
