MAC OS X Leopard (10.5) Launch

Yesterday (26th Oct) was the launch of OS X Leopard (10.5), Rach and I went to iShop at 5pm and spent the hour waiting for the launch (Rachel: I never imagine queuing up for such an event before and it was a first time for both of us). At 6pm, we went in and gotten a Free Limited Edition T-Shirt, limited to first 50 customers only! Then, while looking around and exploring the new Leopard OS X, we were so thick-skinned (at least for me) and went for the roaring challenge. (Rachel: I had to nudge him or he'll just end up looking at it from afar)

Preparation

Leopard T-Shirt

Limited Edtion Apple Cap!

About a minute..... quite long though.

Finally.....

All thanks to my dearest Rach, we gotten ourselves a cap each! 1 White, 1 Black cap on top of our Free T-Shirt. Then best of all, gotten the MAC OS X Leopard 10.5 with 5% discount! Thanks Edmund for your help. Next, it'll be iLife '08 and thanks Edmund again. =) Along with the purchase, we have free vouchers (movie vouchers). Good for us to go dating. LOL. Rach and I had a great date and spent time knowing each other too. (Rachel: Yup, as gals we have to give the guys some encouragement and support too!)

Look at the login screen

Nice right? That's QuickLook on Leopard

OS X 10.5 on the C2D 2.16 MBP.

10 & 11..... ask if you wanna know the meaning.

Our gifts. LOL! Rach got the other half.....
*Let her post it.

Installed the OS and waited for an hour using the Archive & Install method. This gives the OS a fresh installation. Upgrade option only installs on top of 10.4 which can be quite slow I feel. Overall, the OS is quite fast. Faster than 10.4 (Tiger). Even loading of applications are faster in my opinion.

Trying out many features and will explore more before I post up more. Oh yeah, corporate prayer was quite interesting yesterday. **Chris, have you gotten your OS X Leopard via post? I think he's more crazy about it than me.

Nokia Business Mobility Showcase 2007

Just on Wednesday (24/10), I was attending the Nokia Business Mobility Showcase 2007. And guess what made my day sad? I saw someone who drove me out from BGSS. LOL. Anyway, I've been tested many times and this is the most toughest times to love my enemy. Still, I know I have to.

But thank God, I met 1 old COOS member. She's in CHC now. Happy for her. And she's working in SingTel now! Divine appointment. Btw, Nokia should improve on their events. Nothing earth-breaking. I think most of the things they mentioned can be search over the Internet. But what's great was everyone got a Cisco Flask. Too bad, I didn't get to win any phones or book. =(

The lanyard is quite nice. Best of all, the event ended and I went to SMU and spent time with SMU Prayer Group. And ended the day at my cell. Or rather supper at Blk 85. =)

Updates: PRSS Move

For the next 2 weeks, I'll be quite packed with all the packing. PRSS is moving back to Tampines site and there's gonna be lots of vendor meetings, condemnation list to prepare and many more. So I might not be updating my blog as usual but I'll drop by to write if I've time.

Anyway, just want to post pics of the amt of things I've to pack with bubble wrap. LOL! More updates available soon. Oh yeah, today will have 3 posts. Super updates.

Blessings.....

Been very blessed by many pple. And recently, we caught hold of our dear sister, Crystal to join us for fellowship! Last Sunday, we had a great time walking, shopping and relaxing at TCC (tt's like Justin & Chris & my hideout). Anyway, the past week has been cool with our conference calls, etc.

Crystal & Rachel

At Crystal's place.

This is a nice place.
Look at the plate of watermelons!

Oh..... Look at the cam!

Stoning.

Today, we meet again and had Justin's PowerBook's battery sent in to be replaced. Then we went to Ya Kun for high tea. LOL! In the morning, Justin, Rach and I were at the YLT (Youth Leaders' Training) for the Worship in Small Groups. =) It was really a reminder for us and of course it was fun as we did many practical exercises to help us in improving our worship sessions in small groups.

Oh yeah, today is also my 3rd month being together with Rachel. LOL! It's been a cool period of time getting together and learning to appreciate each other as a couple. Not that easy but thankfully manageable. =)

Okay, leaving the rest to the pics as usual.

Break my heart for what breaks Yours!

Tonight, as I was taking time off to think about my life, I realized that I seem to miss the BIG picture. Thinking through of the meaning of servanthood did cost me something. As I was thinking deeply, I asked Him to break my heart.

For the past few days, I've been asking Him, what breaks His heart? Every time I get this reply..... When My people are lost and not found. Or a reply simply, the Lost or the Prodigals. As I was thinking this evening, I realized that it's heartbreaking for God to see His people lost. As I keep thinking, my heart sank. It broke too.

There are emotions that I can't even describe but it's raging in me and I feel kinda upset for awhile. But then, coming back to the reality, what can I do? What breaks His heart that will break mine?

Indeed, it's gonna be tough to answer. Hope to find my answer soon.

Numbering our Days

Psalm 90
12
Teach us to number our days carefully
so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with Your faithful love
so that we may shout with joy and be glad all our days.

Truly, God knows what we think and tailors circumstances way before to ask our questions in ways beyond our comprehension. Today as I was thinking again, how can I start the day with thanksgiving? *Not sure about you, but some days, actually most of the mornings I wake up really groggy and still tired...and thanksgiving usually isn't the first thing on my mind*

Was just questioning myself, how can start the day with my heart and mind aligned with God in my life. And God answered with verse 14 - basically to let myself be filled heart, soul and mind with Who God is - His character. To meditate on the abundance of God's manifold qualities...the focus is on Him and not me! So no matter how I feel, etc, by letting the Holy Spirit satisfy me...out will flow thanksgiving, joy and gladness! God is good! Not matter how bad/mistakes I have or how "good" I am. =)

As I was driving past Bugis to school today, I was just reminded of the time when Kenny was having his Wed morning lessons and once we dropped by at Bugis to grab our Mac breakfast (that was when we are good buddies and we still are =P). Seems like years ago but it was only 9 months ago...many things has happened in my life since then...and I have changed ALOT. Not outwardly but something more subtle and inward. Daddy God, truly time is in Your hands and I thank you for every single moment cause I know that You have created me from eternity for eternity with You...loving You...Father, Jesus & Holy Spirit who showed me what Love truly is...and of course my dearest.

10/10 Supernatural Worship Night

What went through my mind about 10/10 Worship Night was the usual thoughts. Should I go? Is it really that impactful? Do I really have the heart and mind to go? My verdict/choice: I attended the 10/10 (10th Oct) Worship Night. Two words: Life Changing!

As I was worshiping, I felt the Lord Jesus speaking to some of us. Even for myself, to be really really real in my expression of worship. But I know my expression was bottled up even for yesterday. But yet responding to the altar call, I knew God is working in me. As I responded, I saw images, visions of what God intended for me. Then I thought for a while.....

Someone came to pray for me and prayed about the heart of David, songs, etc. Then a lady came and told me that God spoke to her and she told me the following things.
  1. A song will rise up within you, a song related to desert (coming out from dryness)
  2. Going around the world, ministering using songs
  3. Gifting to minister to the Prodigals
  4. His light will guide and grant direction
  5. Called to help/support, may not be a Worship Leader role (coz she mentioned abt not holding a mic but leading out in song) but of a similar nature. - It was funny but who knows? lol.
Added (to recall everything) from Skype chat with her:
  • key msg fr God (and it is still ringing in my ear)...He has put a new song in your heart...there will such a stirring to call out to the lost and lonely...evangelism is your calling...you will reach out through your new song and music....your hands will be anointed for spiritual work and warfare....even as you strum and sing...God will minister
  • Your new song will resonate throughout the world and will be used to bring the lost back to the kingdom of God
  • As God stirrs your heart, you are to speak out...Like what God said to Joshua in Jos 1:3, 5,7,9
  • i saw your role with young people, working amongst the lonely, bringing home the prodigal sons
  • do u have big hands...cos I saw big hand...think that signifies lots of giving ...of self I suppose
  • you will get a taste of it...I just remembered as I pray for anointing of your hands...they seemed BIG..but I believe its more symobolic then physical .lol
  • sometimes while the vision is big and overwhelming..we need to take the small steps to get there...to learn to lean upon His words and to build our faith..then only in hind sight God's wisdom is understood..
  • I can also see His stirring in your heart...
  • one more...think i said God holds your heart very precoulsly in His hands and your name written in His palm and will not let you go...
**Permission have been granted to post the chat details. LOL! All glory to God, the Father.

I went up to her to talk to her and tell her my calling that I'm sure of and shared a couple of stuff. She was so spot-on. I cried and cried coz I knew the Lord answered through the stillness. Evangelism is about YOU. I believe God has been speaking to me about many things. Time to find rest in Him and process all these.

Overall, I find that the Worship Night is great. Just that it's tiring coz it ended very late! =P Many stories, songs and testimonies to come.

Be Blessed!

Tired...to rest in the Father's arms

Just deleted a chunk of words. Everyone knows the model answer...the only thing that matters is having Jesus being modeled out in one's life.

Just survived 3 days of administering a survey to gather commuters feedback on Bus service levels. Thanks for your prayers Mr Cheung. Also, it was nice to see my dearest during lunch time and when he ends work while I'm still administering surveys. Being situated there 7am to 7pm has taken its toll on me. I'm pretty exhausted.

Even so, I thank God for people who are nice enough to go through the survey with me...believe me, it was Loooong. 7 Pages long =P It was pretty stressful when you know that any moment your surveyee will have to leave you with an uncompleted survey when their bus arrives. Another thing I've learnt is to face rejection with grace, love and understanding. People may just not be willing or have the time or for whatever reasons. But just keep your eyes open and confidently approach, rejection is only the next step towards finding someone who would like to accept =).

Will treasure this experience...and be willing to one day approach people when prompted by God, many may reject but rejection is just the next step towards the one soul who is ready to accept what you have to share. =)

Keep me in prayer as I've my macroeconomics test next Wednesday. Daddy God's favor.

Blessings & Poly Cell Gathering

Just want to update abt my happenings from last Thursday's Poly Cell gathering @ Seoul Garden and abt my site trip to Pasir Ris Secondary @ Tampines! Took pics of my current workplace and also at my new desk. I feel so blessed!

Today, I went to the upgraded site which my department will move in by 19th November, which is a month's time. It's challenging as I need to pack all the IT items up with my TA and get ready for condemning of items, before moving over, in order to reduce the need of carrying too many items over. Besides all these, gotta settle all the vendors and installation of Wireless LAN, projectors, etc. It's gonna be hectic but fun.

My new room @ PRSS (Tampines Site)

Lime..... Rach's color.....

Overview of my new room, nice right?

Now, back to the gathering. We had loads of fun during last Thursday which is also my buddy, Ee-Lyn's birthday! At Seoul Garden, the usual Poly Cell, burst out in laughter and joy while eating and blessings just pour forth from everyone. Each of us contribute the fun and cooking together makes us family. I'll let the pics do the talking.

Children's Day @ PRSS - 1st Day of Work!

As some of you may know, I'm been transferred out from BGSS. Finally, my dream came true and I'm in PRSS - Pasir Ris Secondary School! Today's my 1st day and I'm happy as the food is cheap and furthermore, I've a room to myself, or rather a cubicle which contains two big tables. My Technical Assistant have 6 computer tables as his workspace!

Felt very blessed as my colleague treated me lunch and I'm thankful for that. In fact, tomorrow, I'll be visiting the new school building and seeing my room which is located at the library. Yeah, it'll be really fun, I believe.

Aurelia mei is working at HPB (Health Promotion Board) today. I wonder how her day went. Lots of work for me at this moment but I'm enjoying as I can take control or rather take ownership and start gearing certain IT projects.

And yeah, decided to drop out from Believer Music and they are refunding me. Looking forward to work and maybe the choir thingy during December. =)

Be Blessed!
