ViVoCity + VAL!

After Youth Prayer in the morning, decided to meet Grace and Desmond after the VAL event. Grace wanted to go ViVoCity and there we went. Before that, I was taking some photos for VAL and probably will send it up for publicity use.

VAL Interview

Kinda tired even though I was off duty today. Looking at the SAs and VAL participants, I guess they had fun and through their enthusiasm, I'm encouraged. Seeing these SAs reminds me of the times I had during year 1 till now. I guess it's time for them to rise up and allow the seniors to sit back and do their FYP.

Where are the cable cars??

Grace, what are you doing with the mask?

ViVoCity is still boring. Managed to take two pics at ViVo. I guess it'll take some time before the place is fully functional and probably would watch a movie there soon. Will be 25 years old in 26 days time. Kinda nervous and looking forward to graduate from RP. It's been almost 3 years and many friendships had formed, some has gone but I'm glad many still retain its status.

Hope to spend my time wisely as I prepare to either work or move on to University. Anyway, thanks Justin for the wonderful book as my birthday present (although I don't like receiving books as presents - but I kinda like this one though) in advance. Hope to receive something I've been waiting for.

Vote Against Litter (VAL)!!

Woke up at an unearthly hour to prepare for Vote Against Litter (VAL) today! Supposed to meet Ellise and the rest to eat breakfast but I overslept after waking up early. Was slightly late for the briefing and I was supposed to do Tangs Underpass but in the end, I was switched to Mobile VAL contingent.

It was pretty cool and guess who's in my team?? Grace, Edmund, Eunice and me!! Madness! We were enjoying ourselves like mad and that hungry Grace..... lol..... Eunice looks tired and Edmund was like stoning..... 2 hrs passed and it was just boring to a certain extent. My duties ended at 1pm..... continued to help out till 3pm since I've nothing much to do. Grace and Edmund were fantastic!! We had lunch at BK with Desmond and tricked Edmund into playing with Chilli and Mayo!!

Took pictures at Clinston's station and it's the first time I took pictures of him and he really smile happily. Can't figured out why but I guess he's happier. Didn't know that there was an OSG staff with him..... make me feel so bad as I 'takan' that poor little part time girl. LOL. Went to iShop after the duties with the tired Grace & Edmund to check out the latest MacBook Pro and the installment plans. Ended up at TCC and little Grace treated us coz it was her birthday. She's cunning..... say go toilet..... in the end, paid for the drinks. Anyway, thank you for your treat, Grace!

Overnight Prayer!

Overnight prayer in church was totally awesome!! Started at 11:45pm last night, came to church by 9:30pm to set up the room at 307. As I was doing it, I sense that God will be really touching me. But on the other hand, I treat it like another experience. Even when I got home, I still treat it like my normal week. Wonder when will I change??

Through the overnight prayer, I've learnt certain stuff. Firstly, 6 hours of prayer is really nothing. But if we would do it alone, I think it's a struggle. I thank God for such an opportunity to pray with my fellow brothers and sisters in church. Glad to know David (NTU cell) better and hopefully more to come. I totally enjoyed soaking myself into worship this morning. But I hope worship will not be ever deadly but consuming like a fire from above.

I never felt it that God has always been blessing me, speaking to me through dreams and yet I totally ignored it and kept disappointing Him. Even though I made a lot of empty promises..... But after the all night prayer, I guess something in me feels different. I didn't know how to relate this but I guess God really sent His message across the youth and adults. I hope that the youth will catch it and not stop.

At the same time during prayer, I've made up my mind to surrender my life to Him. Bit by bit, from family, relationships, the past, studies and every other thing. Truly, the Lord is in our midst and I can see hope, peace, love, joy, mercy, etc. All I hope and pray is that this is not it. This is the beginning and it will never end. From this day, all we need to do is to refill the love of God each day and allow Him to take control of every moment. The harvest is ready, are we??

What an awesome night. An eventful night, not wasted. Lots to share but nevertheless, these are my thoughts. Looking forward to next week's music practice, cell and all. Before that happens, hope to have a wonderful time at cell this week. I'm sure revival has taken place.

Jamming + Energized!

A refreshing morning I had! Chatted with Lynn (mei) in the morning on MSN before I went for Prayer Meeting. Prayer meeting today was enriching and engaging. Pastor Edwin spoke about negotiating and bargaining with God through prayer. It was too short a time for 2 hours prayer. I guess it's tough to do a 2 hrs prayer at home.

What is Justin doing to Gerald??

Speaking of which, tomorrow is the overnight prayer. I guess we'll have loads of fun!! After brunch (breakfast + lunch), I went to Nathania's place to jam with the band which consists of Nat, Zhong Kai and Zhong Guo. Another guy, Barnabas also joined in the fun. Nat, Zhong Guo and I started off earlier and I can say that we really allow the spirit to flow and we worshipped. I really thought it was wonderful to worship just like this.

Realizing Zhong Kai is studying in RP, I got even more excited! Best is the dream we had. It's the same! Starting our mission in RP, praying for lost souls, breaking down the spiritual walls of RP. Nat cooked us lunch and dinner. It's my favourite..... pasta!! Too bad, didn't catch any pasta moments. But I captured some of her highlights of her place. Actually only one place..... her living room which is like a jamming room!

After all these hype, I'm quite awake but I guess I've to rest soon so that I can pray like mad tomorrow night. Thanks Nat, Kai and Guo for the fun. Oops, Barnabas too..... Updating with photos I took from church yesterday, cousin's wedding and today's jamming.

Friday 13 + Create.Republic Monthly Meeting

Yes, it's Friday the 13 today. Life's per normal except that I'm late for school! Just merely that 10 mins can truly kill me due to my daily grades. Cell was cool yesterday but I guess I'm starting to dislike Fridays especially when it falls on the 13th of the month. Guess what?? I studied for my test till 1am and in the end, the UT was postponed. Reason? Module Chair didn't realized that the UT schedule was changed!!

Seems sad..... this is my day! Why did UT postpone?

Looks like a bad day. But overall, I think I'm just not in the mood to study. Like any other students, I guess in RP, as long as the lessons are not practical lessons, it's tough to carry on. But today's class was fully practical sessions but I just don't get it. In fact, I think my facilitator needs to review his facilitation skills.

Hear no evil, Speak no evil, See no evil!
What's next??

Pris - President

Willie - Events Manager

Hadi - Hon.Gen. Secretary

Enough of my day..... After lessons, went for Create.Republic Monthly Meeting (sounds like MSG - Monthly Sonic Gathering) and met all the leaders of the IGs. It was truly encouraging when I see the leaders and we were able to get them going. The meeting ended well and we had a great dinner at the MCG event.

Hope to have a better week next week as I recharge myself and looking forward to the school visits. It's been a long time since I had chance to hands-on any SA projects. Next, DeepaRaya and Create Fiesta & Awards!! Getting older soon.....

Recharged!!

What an awesome cell meeting today!! I was feeling down deep within and feel like avoiding cell but something deep within gave a wake up call. It was tough preparing worship and for the first time, I really sit down and look through songs that really mean and can help in the building up of the sermon.

While practising and viewing song sheets, felt the assurance of God and worshipped Him and there you go, all the tough songs with loads of meaning. Prepared for cell, read the passage and there I go!! Reached cell a little late which is not supposed to be but due to some calls which I have to attend to. Anyway, I was asking God to come into our midst and as we prayed, worshipped, God spoke to some of us and revealed to us His love. How wonderful, how beautiful His love is.

After cell, we had an awesome dinner/supper we had. 1 plate of Cha Kuay Teow, 1 plate of Chicken Cutlet (shared) and 1 plate of Chicken Chop (shared). Wah, I never knew Gab Ng and I were so hungry that we can feed ourselves with a BIG FAT COW. LOL. For the first time after a long while, I really felt the love in this cell again. Hope that we can press in all the time. Gonna teach Gab Sim and Wei Sheng to play the guitar and worship with this instrument. Lord, bless this cell as we press in, all for the glory of yours.

SA Fund Raising 2006

It's almost a week since the fund raising was conducted. Bought many stuff to support the fund raising and most importantly, I'm glad that I can contribute my lollipops..... LOL! Nothing beats the sale of lollipops. I wondered why.

From this fund raising experience, I realized that my mentees are learning and participative more than ever. I'm glad that they are growing, both spiritually and physically. Didn't pass their probation based on my feelings but I know that they have reached my standards. Though on the surface, they look normal, but when it comes to work, they are more hardworking than me. Or maybe I'm aging.

That's my mentee, Rayson!!

Looking forward, I'm searching for new grounds to disciple, mentor RP students or even my other poly friends which I'm focusing now for their growth in church. They visited and I guess it'll be good to follow up on them.

That's all for the updates of SA Fund Raising. To my mentees, you are quite on your own already. As a mentor, I bless you with all I have!
