MC Induction Programme + Movie Outing!!

Tired as I am, I woke up after a 10 hr sleep..... Supposed to be at the MC Induction Programme in the morning, in the end, I went there around 2:30pm and took a cab there. It was pouring heavily and I'm really tired.

Moving on, I had fun even though I was there for only 2.5 hours. Didn't really learn as much as I wanted to but I guess it's refreshing and it helps a little. After the programme, I went down to Cathay Cineplex with Hadi, Dunfu and John to roam around and waiting for the music team pals.....

Ate at the usual Meridian and took cool pics on Juz and Shawn..... like cam-hogging!! Had a main meal and dessert..... Ice Mango Lychee!! Now I found what my favourite is..... Photos before the movie as usual..... Dinner with Justin, Shawn, Shan Yu, Elizabeth, Tabitha, Hsien Hwei, Cheryl..... the 8 of us!

What is Justin trying to do?? Mutant Powers??

We watched Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest at the new Cathay Cineplex. Seated at the first row and nice view though. Justin, Shawn, Shan Yu, Tabitha, Cheryl and I were enjoying ourselves as usual and we laughed a lot. Guess it was a nice treat before the final 'judgement' of my FYP. After the movie, Juz & Shan Yu & Tab went off via cab while we waited for Shawn's bus. It never came. We walked from that area to glass house at Park Mall, took some pics and went on to Somerset MRT's bus stop to wait for her NR8. Shawn went off earlier to take cab and I accompanied Cheryl since it's so late.

We had a great chat while waiting for the bus. Came back home around 2:45am I guess..... blogging now and transferring nice pics!! Will upload them soon. For now, I'll display some of the nice pics. Hope to have these fun nights again soon.

Signing off at this moment to do my FYP.

Getting To The End of Race!!

As you might know now, FYP's been extended to Monday and my friend helped prompt me about my programming today and I solved it!! It was a fun day as I was testing his project and many happenings.....

Before I continue, I would like to wish JAE a very happy & blessed birthday! You're legally 18!! Really appreciate you for being so loving and caring to your fellow SAs. I hope it will stay throughout till you graduate! Thx Hadi and Steward for being the 'MasterMind'. I'm pretty sure that we enjoyed the session.

Happy Birthday, Jae!! [Student Ambassadors]

Had tons of meetings today. The first one is Poly Forum, the other one is Create.Republic Monthly Meetings. A lot of shock as we were updated of the latest updates in terms of staff, etc. Anyway, I enjoyed myself today as I cleared as much as my FYP stuff already.

Last but not least, I enjoyed cell group yesterday and really share my heart felt out. FYP will soon be over. God is in control. Praise God.

Blessed Tuesday!

Blessed Tuesday! As I was doing my devotion, it was talking about the Beatitudes. Anyway, apart from that, I managed to wake up for school and it's like so refreshing!! On a nice Tuesday, I planned out the day as usual. I really look tired to most people. Thinking through what to place in this entry, I realised that I forgot to put the COOS Youth Guitar Worship Workshop photos!

Incidentally, today is also the day which I made my rally speech at the SA Elections Rally. Knowing from the ground that I have potential voters, I hope that they can decide for their own. In fact, I'm really happy to see these SAs and I hope that will excel in all areas.

Went to church for the Music Ministry Bible Study and learnt a couple of principles and more about worship..... and of coz..... worship evangelism. Had great happenings and I guess it's comforting to know that this group grew together and now we're even closer!! Great job and hopefully we'll be united always!

COOS Youth Guitar Worship Workshop
[Intermediate, May to July 2006]

Photos time!! It's been 2 months and they have proved it well! Our first COOS Youth Guitar Worship Workshop pioneers are out, fresh from the oven!! Congrats! Hope you all will serve Him in your capacity and beyond!

Madness@COOS!!

Early in the morning..... I'll celebrate the light.....

Madness! Totally Madness@COOS last Sat! Finally, the intermediate guitar worship workshop ended on 22nd July 2006. We had loads of fun at Soundcheck on Sat and that pork fluffy thingy.....

What are they doing? Looks like a window.

SA Elections Rally + FYP Deadline Extended!

Today is Monday..... as usual, Monday blues..... didn't manage to wake up for school and I wonder why!! I think I was in my dreams when my parents came to wake me up and I simply thought no one came to wake me up. Like I've said..... it's a dream. Anyway, I had a long rest before I went to school for FYP.

Having said that, today is SA Elections Rally and I'm at the rally to watch the first speech made by Licheng, part of my MM group in SA. I'm glad that some of them are running and I guess they are really passionate about it. Thereafter, I had to go for my FYP meeting. The meeting was fruitful as I had fun laughing with Jerry over silly things. Anyway, the report is in progress and I'm compiling the report. LOL. Programming is still on the loose and I hope I can deal with it by tomorrow morning.

Rumours of FYP deadline extended came about and it came true! But nevertheless, my team is geared to finish the reports by Friday and the finalized programming on Sunday. We'll submit everything on Monday morning and FYP case will be closed! Then, we'll wait for 'judgement' day. I guess with God, all things are possible. All I'm asking is a B/B+.... or even a pass. But I'm sure it's a great lesson learnt!

Met Pris on 168 and we had our usual madness times with Hadi. Thx Hadi for waiting at the library while I was clearing my FYP report. Then we happened to see Naj and Marie. Guess it was a nice trip to S11, where I ate dinner.

Better get back to work now..... I've learnt a new word. Ticycle..... a sudden word pronounced wrongly when it's supposed to be Bicycle.

Be Blessed!

Biometrics..... 75% Done!!

Praise the Lord!! Took some time to rest in the Lord today..... Had physical rest of about 7 hours, took time to listen to music, played the guitar (haven't really practiced), learning to listen to God..... quite a tough one but learning..... prepare for school.....

Went to school and met up with Shuan for my FYP. People around me asked about my FYP teammates but their portion is done and furthermore, integration has nothing much to involve them except for the testing portion. In any case, I owe Shuan a big one. He helped me analyze and solve my most difficult question in my mind. Thanks bro for clearing my doubts. I became more motivated and confident now. (Just need a boost of confidence)..... Met up with Friso around 1:30pm onwards to discuss about the codes for Biometrics scanner (Fingerprint) and manage to understand the codes and had a small chat with him.

Got back to coding and manage to convert all the C# codes to VB!! Praise God for converters!! Up to 75% of the biometrics portion is done up. Only left the designing and testing of the codes. As for my RFID portion, it's more or less done up. Now, I need to really integrate and create unit testing, system testing, etc. Test Case to be more specific.

It's time to do the report till next Wednesday..... hopefully can finish by then so that I can go to that event with Ee-Lyn to study about the book of Daniel. =) Also want to thank Josh for encouraging me..... and of coz Music Min peeps..... you all ROX!!

I can't wait to see the project done up and I hope to do my best during presentation and let God decide my grades! He has always been giving me good grades to glorify and testify about Him. Lord, please take control of my life. I'm really trying hard to listen to You. Maybe I should relax and rest in Him more!

Till then..... ZzZzZ

Be Blessed!

FYP + Rest!!

While in the midst of the busy schedule and upcoming deadline (yeah, I meant DEAD literally), I managed to catch some sleep and didn't attend two days of lessons to catch up with my FYP. It has been progressing well except for the fact that I forgot most of the stuff.

In short, I got short term memory. In fact, I find it hard to do my FYP in school as well as my home. But nevertheless, I really wanna thank the people around me for giving me the moral support and prayers made. I'm pretty sure that I'll get it done by tomorrow since I'm meeting my facilitators tomorrow to help me generate my ideas broader and to guide me in achieving my goal! Next week, it will be reports, reports and reports.

Ah Val trying Ah Ken's Treo 600 ah.....

I enjoyed myself with a half hour break from work to play Taboo with Hadi, Draycott and Kah Hao, after their game of Monopoly. Val visited me at the library and gave me a great massage! Thanks mentee.

At the library! Kenny + Valerie

Guess Who??

Kah Hao + Hadi + Draycott in action. Monopoly!

Through the whole thinking process, I managed to clear some of the errors occured but I hope I can clear it tomorrow so that I can start coding the biometrics portion. Remember, it's due this Friday.

I wonder what's God's will for me now?? Been having weird thoughts and dreams. Especially to ONE place..... Wonder, Wonder, Wonder.

Be Blessed!

Encounter + Experience

LOL! Celebrated COWS's (Cindy Ong Wei Sing) birthday on Friday. Her birthday was yesterday, 15th July. Happy Birthday, COWS! Anyway, she invited quite a number of people. One of these groups is the secondary school group. I was the only guy from SHSS she invited, who came. The other 5 were girls. LOL. How privileged! I'm her close buddy. Always go for supper, etc.

[I'm the only SHSS guy she invited, how come arh??]

Yesterday, 15th July, at COOS Youth Service..... a few hours ago only..... I lay my life, surrendering my utmost 'idol' to Him. My struggles, my worries. I recalled, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness..... not my thoughts, not my life but His kingdom. Loving God, loving others. When was the last time I loved my neighbour? When was the last time I've touched a life around me, spreading the good news?

Thoughts came upon me as I encounter Him over and over again. When will that potential turn into kinetic energy? It is NOW! I lay my FYP into His hands and in a few hours time, I'll be doing my FYP with clear understanding and wisdom.

Experience driving today again! Drove to the airport to fetch my sister. She's back from Hong Kong. Finally! The funniest thing is that she bought me a keyboard. Wonder why a keyboard. Then she say I'd love it. Then I gave her the funny answer..... it must be in orange. erm..... true enough, it's orange. I think it's time for a change of colours but I still love orange. Maybe with a little lime, yellow, red might help.....

Took the courage to go for the altar call and it wasn't another emotional thingy. I'm really tired of the life I've living. When God is in my life, I need not worry about grades, practically carefree. Coz I know I'm serving Him! Now, though I serve Him, I worry. Lord, I really want to put my trust in You. Therefore, I took courage and went forth. Clearing my past, building my utmost to Him. Time to go and sleep..... *Panda Eyes*

Fun At Library!

Incidentally, today is the World Cup Finals. But too bad, I don't fancy soccer. Mum and I thinks highly of Italy and they won. Must be the bookies and their 'lobangs'. Watched the first 20 mins of the match. Very interesting as I was uploading family pics at http://historymaker.gfoto.com

Monday Blues..... Taking a pic for fun!

Meet Nokia, Treo & Logitech

Monday blues happened on this day as I walked to my class with the 'sianz' look and felt down and totally not motivated to do work. Had a tiring day, went lunch with Hadi and had the day wasted. I'm sure that I didn't mean to waste the day. True enough, I had a bad day and I felt saddened. In any case, I'm right here in the library now, blogging away and taking photos with my two dearest mentees, Rayson & Valerie! Presenting.....

See how hardworking we are!

I'm glad to be in RP..... where you can truly make loads of noise in the library. Which library will ever allow it?? Maybe I should suggest to Dr Vivian if I'm attending that Brunch thingy on 22nd July..... =)

Random Thoughts

Random Thoughts..... it flashes through my mind all the time, sometimes even when I'm sleeping. Yes, thank God for His wisdom..... sometimes, I wish I can work as fast as God. In fact, I'm slightly relaxed coz my RFID project didn't really need programming! Integration would do!

Before I go on, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Kimberly Chan!! [Too many Kimberlysssss I know]

Spent some time with my mentee yesterday while going home and today during lunch time. Valerie (Val) gives me a feeling that I'm like her mentee more than I'm her mentor. Actually, not that true. I believe that she's slightly stubborn..... which she agree..... [right, Val?] I guess she knows when to listen and when not to.

Valerie + Kenny

Val + Kenny (Mentee + Mentor)

Had a great time at Awesome Outing!! Too bad, Val didn't go..... so did Eunice, the organizer..... how can you.....?? Anyway, in the end, it was fun and Hadi was there too! Nothing much to add on but gotta hit the bed soon.

Awesome Team Outing!

Team Awesome!

Erm, my thoughts are so random now that I'm losing focus. I guess I'll end for now.

Mentees! SA Family Photo!

Today is the big day for many of the SAs who volunteered to be part of EXCO/Club MC Elections. Even with that, SA had its 1st General Meeting to welcome our fresh year 1 SAs who passed the Selection Camp phase. Congrats to those who got in and got themselves a great mentor! (I hope you like your mentor! Really had a hard time allocating them!)

Had the privilege to address to the year 1s but I guess you all have to learn to keep quiet when there is a meeting. I guess it's the usual hype where people haven't seen each other for a while and start chatting. I suggest that you all come for the arranged SA lunch I've set. =) I'm not too sure if all of you enjoyed the meeting but I guess it's good to see all of you around. Many came to see who's their mentor and many who came for the meeting, not knowing what was expected from them..... But now, I hope you all understood and if you have any issues, go to your mentors first before approaching Felicia, Ken or myself.

Really enjoyed the day. I guess when the announcement of Fel, Ken and my mentees came, most of them were hoping that it's not us. Coz our standards are slightly higher. In any case, I hope we can work together as a big family and I hope to know everyone of them by name and hopefully to create a culture of fun, love and work. Working towards excellence and building a family of love.

Rayson + Kenny + Valerie

Presenting my mentees! They are Rayson, Valerie and Farhan! Too bad, Farhan didn't attend. I gave all my mentees chocolates! Farhan, get yours from me when you catch me. Shared with them my expectations (miniature) and shared our hobbies, personal info and some casual chat. Hope to have more time with them soon as we need to build strong bonds.
