Deeper Life Camp 2006 - We Are Family!

Attended the briefing a few hours ago and on my sister's bday, I was busy with SA Selection Camp Recee, Team Leaders Training, Cypher MC dinner and Church Camp briefing. I was late for the briefing but in any case, the briefing was really brief!

Didn't expect the briefing to be that short since travelling time is really long considered the fact that my school is at Woodlands now!! Anyway, I'm glad that Roy Chen is in my group for one of the combined sessions. Gabriel, Julian and Yi Sin are bunking with me in a room. Hope they know what to do for the bed allocation. To me, I'm fine with anything. Just make sure I won't ache the next few days.

Looking forward to the camp as this is the first time after 4 years in COOS that I've attended Church Camp or Youth Camp. The last one I went was YAHOO (You Are His One and Only) Camp in 2002 when I first met Ee-Lyn, my good friend in COOS. Interestingly, she's going to RP for some course and therefore, cannot attend this camp. What a waste! Anyway, I guess she will be enjoying the PBL experience while I'll be refreshed by the Holy Spirit and God's presence.

Deeper Life? I really hope that I'll be renewed by His presence and deepen my relationship with Jesus. Family? I do hope that through this camp, the youth will treat each other as family. Coz if we don't treat each other as family, then church/cell is meaningless. I'm sure we'll bond with each other and hope to know more new faces!

Hope to mingle with more COOS Youth and I guess I'll start praying for opportunities to know my churchmates better! Time to have a nice retreat too. Yawnz..... tired liaoz..... shall go to rest.

My Utmost For His Highest!

Been a week since I last blogged. I was busy with SA interviews and FYP and all the preparations for SA Selection Camp. First thing, I had been reading/meditating the Word of God using this devotional called "My Utmost For His Highest"! It was awesome as it spoke to me right on the dot! I never felt so refreshed and though the path is tough to take, I'll persist!

Finally, I had time for Ee-Lyn and yesterday, Jovii came to COOS and the topic was cool! Rev Ruth Ann spoke about You and Your Sexuality! It blasted us off! What she preached was exactly the things happening in our society, especially in church! I had a great time at church yesterday though. Supposed to meet Ee-Lyn some time ago and finally, I had time yesterday and Jovii came with us for dinner at Adam Road area. COOS NUS Cell was there and I saw Cheryl, Leanne and Esther at one table, Alina with the NUS cell plus Cornelius! [Yeah! He's back!].

Ee-Lyn and I had a great chat together with Jovii and most importantly, we had a great night, watching movie! We watched Da Vinci Code and I guess both of us were a bit disappointed as it was just so fictional and everyone kept thinking it will manipulate our minds or brainwash us! Bumped into Joelyn, Lawrence and Matthew at Dome, Bishan where Ee-Lyn and I had a wonderful time fellowshipping.

After the show, as usual, I'll see Ee-Lyn to her place and as I was walking out, I was praying for a Mercs cab to come! It came and I safely reached home with comfort and it was really relaxing on the way home. Guess we really enjoyed it and hope we can meet often. Anyway, seeing her for dinner later. Hope she's awake!

SA SLA Fair 2006 + Wireless Mouse

Finally, SA SLA Fair 2006 is over!! Had a great time speaking about my experience to the freshmen and mending the booth, moving around. We managed to have 180++ people to sign up for SA this time round! I saw my poor little mouse with a dent on the scroll button and bought myself the dream mouse! Logitech Wireless V400 mouse!!

In fact, I'm really pleased with the results of SA SLA Fair. The time has come and this coming week, we'll be packed with interviews and I believe that it will be a great time interviewing future SAs and hope to get quality SAs. The seniors worked hard for it and I believe that they have learnt quite a lot this time round!

However, on the other hand, things don't seem to be good on Cypher side. Guess we're tired after the camp and moreover, we were not informed earlier about the booths. In any case, I'm gonna rest well and get the interviews done! Up next, I'll be doing the workshops for Team Leaders. TLs, please be prepared!! I'm glad to blog again after the FYP meeting today. It was fruitful but tiring. Guess I need a break soon.

Church camp is drawing near and SA Selection Camp and before I forget, the Poly Forum residential camp too! Looks like I'll be busy but I promise that I'll do my work well! Yawnz!! Tired liaoz. Time to bathe and rest!

Tiring Week + More to come!

It's been a tiring week and expecting more to come for this coming week. Haven't been updating my blog for a week plus already. Time to update you peeps a little. My week has been hectic after the Cypher Camp as I prepare for SLA Fair for SA.

Cypher Camp was great and I'll be collecting the pics tomorrow and uploading them thru sharepoint tomorrow once I get it. In fact, we are in the midst of discussion to start the second Cypher Camp. Plans are still tentative as camps need lots of preparations. It was fun even though lots had happened. In any case, I'm quite drained out with my other commitments like Final Year Project (FYP) and SA matters.

Hopefully, I can update more along the way. For now, I really need another time of good rest. Studied for Network Security already. Hope to concentrate well in class later. Take care peeps.
