My messy room, my yellow chair. Can't imagine the world war stuck in my room. Posted by Picasa

My new room arrangement. Comfy!! Posted by Picasa

I really feel so blessed by my mum and sis. My sis chose the chair, she got the red one and I got the yellow one. so cool!! Mum paid for it..... wah!! Very blessed. I immediately changed my room arrangement on that Monday. That tired monday although I had UT on the next day. Nice arrangement right? More spacous. But anyway, it's like world war 3.. messed up!!

NDP 2005 Preview - Marina South

It was really messed up as we liased with the committees involved. One minute, we were receiving instructions from our overall I/C but next minute different instructions were passed down by the NDP committee & Army personnel. Can't believe that it's still the same after I got out from Army. Somehow I feel disappointed but yet encouraged by our bunch of enthusiatic SAs, whom some got scolded by the school teachers and some got to attend to other students who are not feeling well. I guess it was really a great experience working with the SAs, especially the year Ones and year Twos. Also, thanks to the year Threes for helping out. Though they left earlier, I believe their hearts are with us too. I'm felt so blessed by the comments given by Lynne in regards to SA. On top of that, we did a cheer for SA at the bus stop. That was when Mr Cedric from CCC saw us. LOL. I guess afterall, we are One big RP family, not to mention that SA is really bonded for now. I hope that the new committee will strengthen the bonds.

That's all for now. Gotta go trim my hair later.

Election Rally + New Chair!!

My yellow chair is here and I'm sitting on it after I shifted my room upside down.. will post the pics of my new room arrangement soon!!

SA election rally was a bit quiet this year compared to last year. I guess it's the rain that caused it. Or maybe due to the other meeting. I switched with Eugene coz tmr I've got Cypher meeting.. Thx bro for switching with me. Thx for the understanding. It was great. I really meant every single word I said. Through the confidence of many..... my mentee, Huda, really did me proud as she stood up, facing the crowd and gave her speech. really great job!! Overall, it was quite challenging and interesting. Thx for those who came and for those who spoke during the rally.

My yellow chair..
Kinda tired to take pics now as I just arranged my room all about and there's more room to move abt.. esp it's a chair with rollers!! haha.. LOL! My sis got herself the red one.. haha.. so nice.. Tell you all more later!!

Gotta study for UT.. missed one of the lessons 2 weeks ago.. haha.. better buck up liaoz..

Celebrations + Farewell..

Quite a number of celebrations today.. firstly, went fullerton for my grandma's bday..... was supposed to watch Jean, Gab and Ephraim at Junction 8 at 1pm but couldn't due to the lunch..

We went to Evie's place for the celebration of Ephraim's bday, Joy's farewell, semi-finals of school of rock and what have you.. Enjoyed it coz we had KFC, Old Chang Kee and Ice Cream!! LOL.. then we acted out and guessed, etc.. dunno how to spell the name of the activity. haha.. my english not that gd.. anyway, it's been a great time knowing Joy and now she have to study.. study hard okie?? we will miss you..

Took tons of pics for Joy, Gab & Ephraim.. really had a fun time.. Hope to have this once in a while.. kinda cool...

As I promised to tell you all about the passage Pastor Jennifer shared with me.. I just got it from her not long ago.. forgot to ask her.. but I asked her through sms.. *heehee*.. it's found in Joshua 3:5 - [ Joshua told the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you." ]

Indeed, as she was telling me.. that my tomorrow is coming soon.. real soon.. I'm really excited about that tomorrow.. it may not be literally tomorrow.. but I know it's drawing near. And I'm waiting for it.

Thanks Pastor Jenn, Band 1 & 2 and others who went for the celebrations + farewell and brought joy in our midst. I pray that we will work towards our common goal.. that is to serve our Lord with all our hearts. Thanks for being kind and fun!!

** The restaurant that I mentioned yesterday is called Settlers. Thanks to my beautiful, pretty and adorable Wenyan, who reminded me on my tag board. Thanks! Love ya. **

Running the Race - Tomorrow is coming!!

As I stepped into.....

Poly Forum Interview
It was really a challenge. Last year's interview wasn't that tough. Anyway, I hope to get into the Poly Forum this year as this year's topic is what I'm more interested. I think I can perform better in this year's forum. The interview for the 5 of us took almost an hour!! Can you imagine it?? By then, it was raining cats and dogs.

Music Ministry - Understudies
Met up with Pastor Jennifer after the interview. I waited for the bus for almost 30 mins!! Can't believe it. Made her wait for almost 30 mins!! So pai seh.. anyway, I shared my views, observations and part of my life experience, issues and my walk with God. It was really fruitful as she shared about pressing on till tomorrow comes. Still cannot find that passage she told me about, in the book of Joshua. I'm really thankful that she took the time to spend this short hour to listen to the views of the understudies and the encouragements she gave me. I hope I can continue to serve the ministry faithfully and learn more things about it. Especially the dynamics of the band, music itself and communication within the bands. Will share more when I receive that passage.

Cell - Birthday Celebrations + Julian's return
Was at holland village area for dinner at this cool little restaurant under a HDB flat. Blk 15 is all I remember. Will check out the name of the restaurant. LOL. We went there to celebrate 4 cell member's bdays and Julian's return to Singapore. 3 of the bday kids turned up, namely Mag, Wen Yan and Gab. We really enjoyed ourselves as we played board games, UNO, Jenga, etc.. The fellowship was the main thing. I really appreciate this special outing as I believe that a cell must build strong bonds. Really wanna thank the cell for making my life colourful. Wen Yan and I wore the God He Reigns wrist band together and we took loads of pictures. Wen Yan and I.. then PC and I.. then Wen Yan, PC and Esther.. then PC, Wen Yan, Esther and I took pictures.. like family pic sia.. hoping for the next outing.. maybe to the esplanade and have our relaxation outing!!

Running the Race
I really wanna tell everyone.. Yes, everyone!! To persevere to the very end. Our tomorrow is coming - to the understudies of COOS Music Ministry, Band 1 & 2. Understudies, let's run the race together. There's nothing far better than serving our God, the Almighty One. If you feel that you are running the race alone.. NO!! you are not.. we are running it together. I suggest that we can practice/jam together once a month as I suggested to Pastor Jennifer. If it really helps in the physical portion (playing our instruments/singing) and helping us to sustain our needs. Let's be transparent and be of an example of a servant. Let's serve in small things faithfully. For the others, like my good cool dear friend, Sequeena and others, persevere for your studies!! I'll try to help you all. Don't ever give up. If you ever give up, no one can help you at all. Love you all!!

Let's run the race together.

Mission Accomplished + Meetings

Finally, mission accomplished for the MTV production..

Today is the great day as our production team worked real hard to complete the MTV we've always wanted to do, according to our theme. It was titled, "Bring Us Back". sounds cool right?? Guess need to improve on that.

Met up with Eunice Lee for the past two days.. yesterday and today.. There were uncertainties in meeting up though as I've not spoke to her for quite some time. In fact, we just talked things out not long ago. I guess this is friendship. It needs to be strengthened, through trials and through tough times. It's kinda cool when we always meet up coz we know each other for almost 6 years and things changed all over the place. I meant we used to like each other and now.. nothing happens.. even if it does happen, my constraint/rules/expectations, you might call it..... may not be fit into her category, etc..

Anyway, I shall not talk much abt it since it's between the both of us. Currently, I just wanna study hard, get into university, get working and serve in music ministry, etc.. There are lots to be done in reaching out to the larger community. There are pple I wanna concentrate and I think they will respond someday.

Eunice, thanks for both days for bringing me such joy and comfort. Hope you enjoyed too. I'm sure you did enjoy our meeting up.

To Ginny, take care as you return to Aust for studies. Study hard as I might join you soon?? Anyway, eat more lah.. you are so thin.. Promise me to take good care of yourself.

Monday Blues + Surprise for Wenyan..

It's Monday again.. that draggy Monday.. I woke up late and rushed for school..

It reminded me of my UT which I didn't manage to take last Monday. Why must it be on a Monday?? hai~.. anyway, today's problem trigger is not that simple but completed it after much research. I was supposed to give this surprise last Sat.. but she didn't turn up for service due to her report writing.

Completed my VB coding for my SQL trigger, decided to have lunch.. at the same time, pass the CD to Wenyan. I wanted to wrap the present but I guess I'm just lazy or rather not trouble her to open to many layers (knowing that I would be Mr. Evil by wrapping with tons of newspaper), thus gave up that thought. When I told her that I have something to pass her, she didn't know that it was her bday present. As she approached me, I told her this is for you.. and it's your bday present!! I said "I passed it to you earlier coz since the CD is released earlier, might as well pass it to you." She was filled with joy as her classmates were talking abt this album. I'm glad that she liked it so much.

I wanna take this opportunity to thank Wenyan for being my motivation to attend cell every week. I wanna thank Wenyan for coming to COOS since last Nov till now faithfully. You have been a motivation, a motivator and encourager to me. Keep up the good work and win souls for Christ.

I wanna thank my mentees, Khalis and Huda, for being responsive to me when I ask you two to meet me. Thank you for being responsible and teachable. Having loads of fun, working with you two and playing!!

God He Reigns + Great Weekend

Indeed, God He Reigns.....

Got the CD from Pastor Jennifer yesterday and guess what?? The wrist band is lime in colour.. bright colours..... Kinda like it but would prefer the orange or blue ones. Don't even know whether got orange or not. Anyway, I'm really blessed to have such a wonderful worship pastor who sees the heart of her musicians, vocalists in the bands. Thx Pastor Jenn.

Great weekend as it was Mag's bday on Sat!! We had dinner at the usual hawker then followed by the nice dessert at N.Y.D.C at holland village. Great arh.. What's best is.. We went out for a movie!! Cell outing.. haha.. We watched Fantastic Four at 2am in the morning!! Spent the night out till the first bus and it was pouring then. It's the first time where Gab, Mag, Pris, Peter, Esther (Peter's Sister) and myself went out together till so late. Havoc sia!!

I was deciding whether to run for SIT Club and then Lifang popped into my class, requested me to run with her in the Management Committee and Martin was also asking whether I'm running for EXCO or MC. When Lifang asked me, I rejected her initially. As I was thinking, I felt that I should help Selvan and Lifang. I took the challenge and signed up for both. But I hope I can run at Management Committee level. Think that's the best place at this point of time.

Let God decide where I'll be. Coz God He Reigns.

A short prayer:

Heavenly Father,
I pray that you will lead me into your plans. Take away the politics involved in the clubs/interest groups and even in the Student Union. Lord, allow us to work with each other peacefully, lovingly and joyfully. I ask that you mould me and change me in the ways of Yours. I pray that You restore my broken and contrite heart.
In Jesus name,
Amen!!

I wanna take this opportunity to thank Selvan, Lifang, Martin, Felicia, Amanda, Sequeena, Yunru and others for encouraging me and supporting me for running in the elections, whether it is for Cypher or for Student Ambassadors. Thank you for your time and effort in telling me your issues and I'll do my best in whichever tasks I'm given.

Election Period + Journey to Restoration.

It's election period again.. during this period last year, lots of things happened and when I recalled about it, it's kinda childish and political. This time round, I've decided to run for Student Ambassadors Management Committee only and dropped the idea on Student Union EXCO and Cypher MC.

Reason being that I wanna concentrate on SA and my other small projects in school and of course, my Professional Profiling Module. Currently, I'm doing this cool GPS project with George and Amanda. It's been a great time working with them as usual. Election period is the time where I reflect the most. I think I should reflect often. Being an ambassador is not easy. Especially, with the quote, "The face of the Republic". Kinda cool but all derived as Servanthood. I met up with my mentees, Huda and Khalis on these 2 days. It was really fruitful as I shared about my experiences in SA.

I received feedback recently about me being political. I've promised my mentor and advisor that I will change for the better to fit into the culture of SA. Things don't change overnight though but I believe with their support, I'll be able to improve myself as a servant leader. This year's election is kinda better and not too political. Every contestant seems experienced in certain areas. What a pity that only 8 seniors are running and a total of 18 SAs out of 100+ SAs are running for this year's election.

Confident?? I still stick to the usual quote that my mentor, Dino, always say. Action speaks louder than words. It was during the SA Selection Camp that my PASSION was released. That motivation cannot be gotten anywhere at all. That was the fuel for me to continue to run for this year's election. I know I might have disappointed some who had high hopes on me since last year. I hope that you can give me your honest feedback and I'll improve myself as I move along. I promise to give my best again during this year's election and will sustain and maintain the culture of SA once again.

My mentee, Huda, is also running and I'm really happy and excited for her. Hope she liked the kit kat choc I bought for her. And to Khalis, for being so transparent and for telling me that you have commit yourself for ALC Management Committee this time round. All the best and you have my support.

All I ask for is that the 18 of us would be close knitted, no matter what the results of the election may turn out to be.. Next agenda.. my Journey to Restoration.

My Journey to Restoration..... It's been really a long time since I've a chance to really talk to God and during this period of time, I really have to thank the following people.. They are..

Peng Chye, Wen Jie, Gladys, Huifen, Peter, Ginny, Aizhen, Felicia, Vanessa, Julian, Jason, Rendall and many more.. most of all, especially Peter for being a great brother to me in my times of trials. To Huifen, who constantly check on my spiritual walk and being a great friend, buddy and prayer partner. To PC, Wen Jie and Gladys, for the consistant effort in making the cell comfortable and close knitted. To Ginny, who always wake me up with fresh revelation of the Word of God and for being a motivator in my life. To Aizhen, who always believed in me and trusting me as a friend, brother and buddy. To Fel, who always feedback about my character, actions and most of all, guiding me and motivating me to become a better leader. To Vanessa, my dearest sister whom I love and listens to, cherish our friendship and relationship. To Julian, Jason, Rendall and others, for the never ending support and encouragements, even during the election period and throughout any activities we had.

My Journey to Restoration has just began. I'll leave my past alone, surrender it to God and move on. Darkness can never capture me again coz I'm the salt and the light of the world. Salt which will never lose its flavour and light to the world which a city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Songs of Restoration.. I've been writing my new songs based on the theme of Restoration and I hope that I can use these songs in my church, COOS!! Servanthood.. That's all I want to have.

Lastly, I do wanna apologise if I've disappointed anyone during anytime of the year since my 1st in RP or in COOS. Nevertheless, I would love to hear your feedback and I promise that as long I know it's going to help SA or COOS grow, I'll change for the better, not the worst.

More experiences to come.. Mentor-Mentee sessions, YLMP sessions, SA Family Day, SA Teambuilding, SA Fund Raising..
