Falling Down

These days, I had a tendency of falling down. Last week at IPPT, I fell off the threadmill. Today, I fell off a 'mini' cliff. I slipped off while trying to capture a shot. There goes my camera. Thank God that the lens is not damaged. If not, good bye to $200.

However, my lens is not protected by the shutter cover. Somehow, I didn't manage to recover that portion. Hmmm, had a rough week and didn't wanna go for SA Appointment Ceremony. Anyway, what was more important was to relax and really give myself space to think through my goals for next year, etc.

Falling down isn't that bad after all. It taught me to trust God more and sometimes, once is never enough. From the way I look at it, God is literally teaching me to trust Him. Spent the day out with Justin to go Botanic Gardens to take photos. Wasn't upset about the camera incident but I was rather upset due to many issues.

Anyway, I thank God that I had minor injuries only. Heard from some of them that the SA ceremony was okay only. Thank God I didn't attend as I really needed a break from meeting people. Call me anti-social or what. But I really need solitude. Guess I'll be packed with Create.Republic matters and my FYP. Other than that, I'll just be a follower in SA and see what's next to come.

Looking forward to February and maybe trying out SMU. Not too sure whether I should. But I'm definitely applying for DSTA Scholarship. I've got a feeling that I should go for it.

MacBook Pro + Fast Track Pro

Let the Professional meet the Professionals! It's been 10 days since I've gotten my MacBook Pro (MBP) and 3 days since I've received the M-Audio Fast Track Pro (FTP). It's been a great joy using it as I'm going to use these tools for song creating, song editing and most of all, do mobile recording as much as I can.

I recalled using OS X when I was in year 1 during MAC IG period of time and during Music Appreciation in year 2. Currently, I'm in my year 3 already and I've gotten myself the MBP for myself to pursue my love for song writing. With the FTP, I'll be able to fulfill my dreams without the need to keep going jamming sessions.

IPPT + Biennale + Updates!

Wow! Finally, I'm taking my IPPT for the first time. I believe that God is a God of miracles. In fact, I failed my IPPT and fell off the threadmill. Believe me, I passed everything and surprisingly well. But beyond that, I believe that God has a purpose in everything, therefore I trust that He has the best for me.

Went to the Singapore Biennale today. Was at Tanglin camp and thereafter we went to Mind Cafe. They played Settlers while I meddled with my camera and MacBook Pro. LOL. The sleep function is cool. Think MAC OS X is smarter. Took lots of pictures but I guess I'm not in the photo mood today.

Back home for dinner and studying, watching TV (which I seldom do). Gonna try out my birthday gift which is my M-Audio Fast Track Pro mobile recording device. This blessed gift will be shared among Music Ministry people, Nat's band (which I'm involved in) and anyone who needs it. Of course, the music min peeps have priority over others. SORRY! LOL.

Just wanna thank Joline and Nat for the great time spent at Cafe Galilee yesterday. It was an awesome time sharing. Hope to have more of these! Today, some of them played for Baptism Service. They are Nat, Zhong Kai, Zhong Guo and Marcus Chin. Hope to hear valuable feedbacks from them as often as I can. Oh yeah, almost forgotten this..... Happy belated birthday, Marcus Chin!

Planning for the understudies jamming sessions. With the Fast Track Pro and re-learning of GarageBand, I'm sure in no time, we will be able to record our songs, etc. Time to kick the books (powerpoint slides I mean - RP don't use books). Till then, more stories to share soon.

Prayer Walk at RP!

Today marks the day of revival @ RP! Finally, I met up with some RP students from COOS and as we pray, we had impressions and began to pray like never before. We target to pray for 30 mins each week. But as we start praying, it took almost an hour!

Like every Sunday, this session in RP will be exciting and I hope to see changes as we pray. As I pray, I hope that God will heal the people in RP as well as restoring my life. At this moment, I seem to lose focus in my studies but I'm sure that God has His way and His will upon my life. Looking at the situation for today's prayer, I'm sure in the next few weeks, things will start changing as we start this prayer session going every week.

I'm glad that we had fun praying for RP students, the environment, etc. In fact, we were praying in the open at one of the pods. Surprisingly, no one passed there or ask us what we are doing. Had KFC for our dinner before I went to cell.

Zhong Kai came to my cell today and I'm glad he enjoyed it. In fact, we'll be meeting up often to pray, catch up and see things happen in RP. Gonna be exciting since we know RP will have revival coming like a rushing wind. Overall, I had a great day. But I still feel insecure. I'm not sure why but I guess..... I really wanna taste God's love once again.

McDonald's Outing - Supper!!

Yesterday, the music ministry pple went to McDonald's for supper, quick bite. Prior to that, I had cell and they were having their jamming session. As I went into the room for cell, there were only Wen Jie and me. It was funny coz we didn't know what to do next.

As we decided to start praying, we were engaged and shortly, we were just worshiping, praying and giving our best to God. Gab Sim came along an hour later and we continued praying. I guess there's a lot more to do for this cell and I'm praying hard that revival will set this place on fire. Never felt that tough to pray and worship but as we press in, I can sense certain changes.

During supper, we took some pictures and this time, I shall spare Juz for the agony of putting his unglam pics. Probably, I'll keep it safe in my pockets till he wanna put it on his blog. =) Saw Nat today and she's like ganging up with Juz..... Why of all people? LOL. Studying can be tough hor? Nevertheless, I guess it's cool to have them in my life. They brighten my life anyway.

Good to go! Preparing for test in 2 hours time. Gotta pack up and run.
