Happy 40th Birthday, Singapore!!

Sunday..... I was supposed to accompany Julian for Festival Of Praise but I was really very tired and decided to skip it. No offense to lynz about the comment you've made. But frankly speaking, we have lost the essence of worship. I do admit that I could have lost it that Friday night. But generally, we have really lost touch of the main purpose of worship.

We basically feel like worshipping when we feel like to. If the hype isn't there, there isn't any movement or simply just staring into the sky. Maybe I was wrong, maybe it's me. But I can assure you that if it wasn't Hillsong or Delirious, there wouldn't be any excitement. FOP has changed since Hillsong came couple of years ago. I've seen it with my own eyes, people leaving the indoor stadium when Hillsong left the platform and when the Singapore band took over. That's when I was disappointed.

If an imperfect person like me would feel disappointed, what more would Jesus, the Lord Almighty feel?? What more would God feel?? As I return to Jesus, in my journey of restoration, I felt comfort and love. Still, worship is missing somewhat in my life. Worship is a daily devotion and I need that refresh wind and fire again. Lord, purify my heart. Santify my soul.

Monday - Conducted iMovie workshop for Nature IG and was doing some shopping for my guitar. Pampered my guitar with a new tuner and DR RED Coated Strings!! Met up with Kelvin and Esther for dinner and shopping. It was a great time spent! I wished we could have more.

National Day Parade 2005 [Happy 40th Birthday, Singapore]

It was really awesome as we moved the crowd into their stands though it was sunny and we were perspiring. It was really fun as we came together as one big SA family, cheering and dancing! We were also asked to wish Singapore, a Happy Birthday greeting, in front of the camera and it was like SA cheering for Singapore.

All I can say is that SAs, you guys rock!! I can feel the enthusiasm in all of you to the very end. Really appreciate you all for tolerating my seriousness when it comes to events like this. Thanks for giving me a great time, SAs!

Hope Dian is alright by now as she fainted during the rehearsal. Anyway, will pray for her health. SAs, do look out for Dian and cheer her up when you all see her. *Smile* It was a great time and words can't describe it all. For now, I'm gonna sleep and till then..

A journey about to begin. We shall keep waiting patiently. The days have come for us.

Festival Of Praise [F.O.P. 05]

It was awesome!! Seeing 2 great bands coming to Singapore for a celebration of praise. But then, my heart felt disappointed and constraint to worship. That night was like paying lip service than worshipping. As I was seated behind the screens, behind the band, I was thinking of the day that COOS would host its own Festival Of Praise. LOL.

I felt ashamed suddenly. I realised that we could only 'worship' God if there is good music at times. Bringing Hillsong and Delirious is great but the attitude of my hearts must be right. The condition of our hearts must be right. What do I mean by that? If Hillsong and Delirious were not the main bands and we invited other bands, will the congregation still worship the same way as that Friday?

Just some thoughts though.

Music Ministry - COOS

It's been a great 3 months since April and almost 8 months after the audition I had last December. The understudies program is great and I'm looking forward to more understudies and a big family of Worship Leaders, musicians, vocalists and more!! I was expressing my needs that I have to Pastor Jenn, Josh and Chris. It was a great time together, speaking off my mind about the ministry and how I want to see this band grow.

I've also expressed myself in taking up a secondary instrument, preferably the conga/percussion or even drums, etc. As long as there is room for me to learn, I'll learn. As long there is a need, I'll do it. I'm still enjoying that worship every Saturday and I've learnt to speak up, being more constructive and learning to love all my friends in the band. Frankly speaking, you guys are really awesome. Seeing you people on stage, worshipping the Lord Almighty just makes me feel motivated to worship Him even more!

As our band continues to grow, I hope that we have bonding in the midst of us. It is critical and I believe that in order to fulfill the vision of having more youth service and more youth bands, we need to start getting bonded. Have lunch, dinner together. Have a time of celebration as in a time of worship together. I believe that we are doing this already.

I believe our 'tomorrow' is really coming.

Music Appreciation or Developing Enterprise??

Another dilemma came.. but rest assured that my mind is set upon Music though.. I was asking the cell and Wenyan was like.. saying Music, Music!!

I guess developing enterprise isn't the module for me now or ever. No one commented on developing enterprise as yet. I guess Music Appreciation is what I prefer too. Sticking to that choice for now till the appeal. I heard that Music Appreciation is tough due to the theory and history of it. I hope I can get good grades through God's blessing.

It's been days.. Move with my passion!! As I was thinking of these..... something struck my heart. Politics, gossips and rumours. Somehow I felt so ashamed of it at times, but I want to correct it from now onwards. No double standards.

Got to sleep. Catching my last 4 hours of sleep.

Music or Theatre Appreciation??

As we finished out OS (Operating System) UT, we started our day again for another round of Database Systems.. again.. coding.. hai~

As we were about to start cracking our brains for these, the module selection site was activated and everyone were excited. We were discussing it the whole day and really made the whole class tense somehow. As I was thinking of what to apply for, I said to myself, if there's Theatre or Music appreciation, I would take either one. For once, I didn't want to pursue my IT modules first. For once.....
