Radio Rodeo?

I've been wanting to get myself a radio cum CD player (ya, I know CDs are going to be obselete already), still I treasure the memories when I would blast worship songs as I studied for my exams or did my homework. Somehow, it gives me a sense of focus and being enveloped by God's promises and love.

As usual though, cheepo me would get the cheapest possible radio, CD player. However, Kenny surprised me by this fabulous player. My indecision was such that I could not bear to buy it though I needed it and the features were really great. The bass was beautiful...What can I say... but thanks dearest for helping me make a wise decision! =)

My UIC Journey - It's U (You) I C (See)!

Before talking about the journey, I was reading this and I know God has placed me in this place for a season and a reason. =) It's HIM that I see..... As I begin to walk in that anointing, I realize that God is putting in me a heart for prayer. To set my lifestyle deeply in love with Him and Him alone.

This came to me for a few weeks already.....
1 The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners;
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of our God's vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,
3 to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the Lord, to glorify Him.

As I was asking God whether I'll get my namecards and access card today, the phone rang. It's my colleague, Lynda, and she said, it's ready! =) I guess God is really with me when I am talking to myself. Anyway, it's been almost 3 weeks and I met new friends, colleagues, who are very interesting. In fact, I'm surviving well and learning to be wise and loving. Here's my cards and I look so..... =P

Anointing. Walk in the Anointing.

For this entire month of March and now April, I've been receiving word of affirmation in regards to walking in the anointing. I wonder what it really means. As I wait upon the definition of that, Justin wrote me an email of what he "saw".

He "saw" the anointing on me when I was relating to him abt the overnight prayer when I invited Hannah and Gee Yean for prophetic painting. And Juz mention abt the anointing to INCLUDE people and INFLUENCE people for a season. He sense that walking in the anointing refers to the area of Prayer Ministry.

As I slowly read the email, I felt comforted and I know that God is really pacing me. Hope to get more insights for this. And waiting for Juz to send me the definitions for anointing. It's gonna be fun!

Blessings & Giving Thanks!

Today's my 2nd day of work @ UIC Technologies. My boss is really nice and he's the best role model since he gotta teach me many things. I really salute him! =) He came to help me with the cables which is my 1st time after ITE days. Those Ethernet cables are so messy in that small room. Thank God for that small room and only 2 server rack. Wait till we tidy up the server room. Oh, that one is messier!

Boss was mentioning about S$35 of mobile phone allowance since I'm not taking the company's hp. =) Hope this will come true coz it'll cover my other line. Looks like I'll keep the line after all. Anyway, I'm waiting for my pay to come. Didn't know that it's so needed till I look at my so-so pathetic savings I've got. And this month is Mum's birthday, not only her but also Chris and Alina. =) Wonder if Chris is thinking of a MacBook or an iPhone. Anyway, I guess he just want to get over exams for now.

My other colleague, Santhy, is sick today. I was alone in the MIS room. With a can of root beer after lunch. It's only the 2nd day and I'm eating alone. Hope to have time to mingle with more people and get more inputs and learning processes. =) Things seem to stabilize quite a lot when my boss is around. I guess I just need to have that attitude of never say die or never think it's impossible. Just have to be wise in my verbal and non-verbal cues. Yeah! Gonna bathe now and wait for mum before dinner is served (bought dinner back).

Just wanna thank God for great colleagues, friends and blessings that are along the way. Also wanna thank my lovely gf, Rachel, for her support. And not forgetting the list..... Justin, Joycelin, Aurelia, Lynn, Chris, Nathania, Gee Yean, Jenn, Hannah, Beth (Elizabeth) and many others..... Ho Wai, Franco, Charissa and so on and so forth. =P so naggy sia. Anyway, you all have been a great blessing to me. Really!

New Job @ UIC Technologies - April Fool?

Yes, it's not an April Fool's joke. It's my 1st day of work today on 1st April 2008 (while M1 celebrates their 11th anniversary). I'm working at UIC Technologies as MIS (Management Information Systems) Administrator as of today. Work's been quite neutral at this moment. But I find things are gonna get better along the way. Currently, I feel that everything seemed the same as normal like my other job. But the difference is that over here, the pressure is more hands-on while at HP, there isn't much direction.

In my department, there is only my Boss and one other colleague. But in the overall picture, the company is huge. =) Gotten my temp access card today and many other items as well. Gotta work real hard for this job. It's interesting as I talked to God while working. I was wondering if I can get name cards like my previous job. Then..... my boss said, fill this up for your name cards. I was like..... God, are you hiding somewhere? (duh! He's everywhere!)

Anyway, ended the day well and went to take passport photo for my access card. Got all the things I need for work. Gonna sleep early tonight. I'm yawning! =)

It's gonna be fun tomorrow. Laying cables for PCs and printers, etc. And most importantly, maintaining the servers. Fun!
